Shipping, Tracking and Returns
Apriva Marketing ships worldwide from our headquarters near Chiang Mai, Thailand. Unfortunately we cannot deliver to PO Boxes or military post office addresses. We offer up to seven different delivery methods to each country worldwide and quotes are automatically displayed below individual items or the shopping cart as well as at checkout time.
Although we make every effort to dispatch your purchases on the same day as your order goes through, we can only guarantee that any order will be dispatched within 3 working days.
Delivery Tracking and Non-Delivery We will always obtain a tracking number for a shipment of goods, except for Thai surface-mail.
UPS offers international tracking for any shipment to any of its supported destinations. EMS has international tracking for 40 countries, including the U.S.A., Canada, the U.K., France, Singapore, Hong Kong and Switzerland. Economy Airmail and Airmail provide tracking to the Thai border, and Surface-mail has no tracking support.
Generally speaking, the higher the cost of the shipping method, the better the tracking support. It is the buyer's responsibility to understand the level of tracking attached to his or her chosen shipping method, and adjust their expectations in the rare event of a dispute accordingly.
A shipment will be termed a 'Non-Delivery' if it has not reached its destination after a period of six weeks from the end of the delivery time range stipulated by the shipping company. Where Apriva Marketing is unable to provide tracking information as a proof of delivery, it is assumed that the buyer was aware at the time of purchase - by ordering the shipment from our online store - that such proof would not be forthcoming in the event of a dispute, and that by paying a lower fee for shipping than one which would have assured such tracking as could show proof of delivery, the buyer was making a calculated decision which constitutes a mitigation in favour of Apriva Marketing in cases of apparent non-delivery, and a limitation of Apriva marketings’ liability in such circumstances.
The extent of Apriva Marketings’ liability in the event of non-delivery without shipment tracking will not exceed the cost of the item(s) being sent and will not include the cost of shipping. Apriva Marketing will always be able to show proof of dispatch.
Returns As a customer of Apriva Marketing, you have a 7 day period from the date of receiving the goods within which you may return the item if you are not satisfied.
Once we have received the item back from you in reasonable condition, we will fully refund the cost of the item within 14 days. Shipping costs, however, cannot be refunded.
All correspondence in matters of returns will be conducted via email. Please bear in mind that the very nature of handicrafts dictates that no two items (even if they are of the same type and product number) will ever be identical. Furthermore, some types of handicrafts display a wider variance in their like-for-like appearances than others. As a safeguard against potential abuse, Apriva Marketing reserves the right to deny a refund to anyone who has made what we determine to be excessive returns.
Late Deliveries All delivery times have been supplied to us by the respective shipping companies we use. It is not the responsibility of Apriva Marketing to ensure that the actual time taken for delivery falls within these ranges, and we cannot therefore guarantee that it will do so. We take the view that we cannot be held responsible for executing a process over which we have no control whatsoever and for which we ourselves do not get a guarantee from the shipping company in question (apart from UPS, which has guaranteed delivery options - please email us for details). Our responsibility as a supplier ends with us dispatching the item within three working days of the order being made, and retaining proof of dispatch, as well as a tracking number.
International Duties and Taxes Customers are responsible for any and all import duties, taxes or brokerage fees. Apriva Marketing is not responsible for these charges.
